Things are always interesting here...

Today started like any other Thursday.

I woke up at 5:30 for school, rode my usual route, sucked at in art class (because my classmates are prodigies and probably distant offsprings of Picasso), learned somethings about English during my English class (funny how that works...), ate lunch with my class, fought my eyelids in Ethics of Religion, became really confused in Chemistry, showed off my disappointing Volleyball skills in Sport, suffered through an hour of Functions, said goodbye to my class and boarded the bus to go home, when this happened...

I think the bus driver forgot he was driving a bus...

It all happened in slow motion and I was sitting right at the window so I had the best view. ;)

Everyone on the bus saw it happening and there were more than a few curse words exchanged - in English of course, because then they don't mean anything...

Luckily no one was hurt, but there was clearly quite a bit of damage done!

I met up with Adriana after school in Olten today and we went shopping for a little bit and then went to our favourite restaurant for hamburgers - they are even better than the ones back home...

We ran into my host parents on the street and we visited the Open House at my host sister's new job.

When I arrived home there was a package on the table with my name on it and I had a grin from ear to ear. I couldn't open that package fast enough, I was just that excited! When I finally got it open, there was a nice little present wrapped with a card: "Do no open until December 1st!". Inhumane torture!

Just as I was taking it into my room, my host dad stopped me and told me that he would take it for safe keeping until December 1st. Clearly no one trusts me around here...but I guess they have a reason not to...

Anyway, just a few highlights of my day!

Big Hugs from the land of the Swiss,

Madi <3
